Woll

Overview

Woll is an Android app designed to organise, customise and automate the way you manage your wallpapers, while offering a simple, local and privacy-friendly experience.

Designed as a product in its own right, Woll answers a simple problem: going beyond the limits of traditional wallpaper managers by offering a real space to structure and control your personal library.

A new way to manage your wallpapers

Woll lets you bring images, GIFs and videos together in a single library, organise them into folders and collections, then create different profiles suited to how you use your phone. Each profile has its own environment and can include automation rules that change the wallpapers automatically based on different parameters.

An experience built around control

Particular attention was paid to customisation: positioning, framing, rotation and display behaviour.

Woll also handles light wallpapers. On some phones, the time, battery and other system information stay white, even on a very light image, and become unreadable. Woll can then add a subtle dark gradient in the system area: the information stays readable, without spoiling the wallpaper.

This focus on control is also reflected in Woll’s technical and product approach: the app works locally, with no account required, no ads and no tracking. Personal libraries stay directly on the user’s device.
